Senior Manager, Accounting (Contract, November - April)

SOPHiA GENETICS seeks a Senior Manager for Accounting on a 6-month contract to support year-end close and external audits. The role offers a hybrid setup in Rolle, CH.

The company is hiring a Senior Manager for Accounting for a fixed-term engagement from October or November 2026 through April. This position is designed to support a period of leave during the fourth quarter and year-end close. The individual will act as a hands-on coordinator, guiding the business through critical reporting deadlines, the quarterly close, and the external audit process while serving as the main point of contact for auditors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage key accounting tasks for the fourth-quarter close, year-end reporting, and the audit cycle to ensure all deadlines are satisfied.
• Serve as the primary daily liaison with external auditors, managing information requests, tracking open issues, and ensuring timely responses.
• Assist the team in preparing for and navigating year-end audit requirements with efficiency and structure.
• Provide practical oversight and resolve issues during high-demand periods to maintain clear priorities and steady execution.
• Contribute to the SOX compliance framework, particularly as external audit testing advances.
• Collaborate with colleagues handling consolidation, reporting, and financial statement preparation to keep deliverables aligned.

Requirements

• Possess seven to ten years of progressive experience in accounting, external audit, financial reporting, or close management, preferably within a multinational setting.
• Demonstrate a strong grasp of year-end close procedures, external audit workflows, and the rigor required in regulated reporting environments.
• Have knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP, with deep specialization in one standard and the ability to function effectively in a global context.
• Show previous experience working directly with external auditors and coordinating audit deliverables.
• Be able to integrate into an existing team, provide review support, and keep multiple workstreams moving during time-sensitive periods.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in a listed or public-company environment, or having supported audits for listed companies, is highly valued.
• Exposure to SOX compliance or controls testing is beneficial, especially regarding external audit requirements.
