Senior MES Consultant - Food sector

SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a Senior MES Consultant for a remote contract role to lead implementation across four European food sector sites.

This freelance position supports a consultancy client operating in the food industry. The consultant will be responsible for planning, deploying, and optimizing Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions across four locations in Switzerland, Italy, France, and Germany over an 18-month period.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, deployment, and optimization of MES implementations across four sites in Switzerland, Italy, France, and Germany within an 18-month timeframe.
• Address regulatory compliance and safety standards specific to the food industry.
• Facilitate workshops and conduct requirements gathering sessions.
• Manage quality control processes.
• Ensure integration with other systems.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with MES systems in a project capacity, preferably within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of MES platforms, regardless of the specific vendor.
• Willingness to work primarily remotely, with occasional on-site travel for workshops as needed.
• Availability to start by May 2025 at the latest.
