(Senior or Pro) Merchandise Planner

TALLY WEiJL seeks a Senior Merchandise Planner to lead financial planning, assortment strategies, and inventory management while partnering with cross-functional teams to drive sales and profitability.

This position is responsible for steering financial planning, assortment strategies, and inventory control across various product lines. The role collaborates closely with Buying, Product, and Retail departments to enhance sales performance, improve margins, and optimize stock productivity.

Responsibilities

• Create and oversee seasonal and in-season financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
• Analyze category performance to spot opportunities and risks that affect sales and profit.
• Manage Open To Buy (OTB) planning and inventory levels to maintain optimal stock.
• Develop assortment and option plans with Buyers, balancing commercial goals with financial targets.
• Review sales, stock, margin, and markdown data to provide actionable recommendations.
• Track weekly trading results and suggest proactive measures to boost performance.
• Implement allocation and replenishment strategies to maximize sell-through and stock efficiency.
• Assist in pricing, promotional, and markdown strategies to improve profitability.
• Prepare and present business reviews, forecasts, and strategic insights to senior leaders.
• Work with Buying, Retail, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to achieve business goals.
• Help improve planning tools, processes, and reporting methods.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in Merchandise Planning, Allocation, Demand Planning, or a similar analytical retail role.
• Strong commercial awareness paired with excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with OTB, forecasting, and inventory planning.
• Ability to interpret complex data and turn insights into commercial actions.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and collaborative mindset.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English.
