Senior Risk Manager / Internal & External Process Risk Bank

Coni & Partner AG seeks a Senior Risk Manager in Geneva to lead third-party risk assessments and drive the RCSA process within an international bank's risk function.

This position sits within the risk management department of an international banking group based in Geneva. The primary focus is on evaluating and mitigating risks associated with external suppliers and technologies, while also overseeing the systematic identification and management of operational vulnerabilities through the Risk and Control Self-Assessment framework.

Responsibilities

• Oversee due diligence and onboarding procedures for new vendors.
• Evaluate and manage the procurement supplier portfolio to reduce potential risk exposure.
• Conduct periodic reviews of supplier compliance and support lifecycle management, including offboarding.
• Lead the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) initiative to systematically address operational weaknesses.
• Define and review business processes to ensure assessments are targeted and actionable.
• Identify inherent risks that could threaten business objectives before mitigation strategies are applied.
• Assess the design and operational effectiveness of internal preventive controls.
• Calculate residual risk levels using probability-impact matrices, considering control effectiveness.
• Create remediation and action plans for both third-party risks and RCSA findings.
• Monitor emerging threats via key risk indicators (KRIs) and dashboards to prevent losses.
• Enhance third-party risk management programs by updating relevant policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all risk activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Engineering.
• Significant experience at a Big Four firm or consultancy, preferably on large-scale projects for international banks.
• Background as a senior internal auditor or senior manager focused on operational risk or business continuity.
• Deep understanding of internal and external risk processes, including regulatory framework implementation.
• Practical experience in operational resilience, internal controls, and Business Continuity Management (BCM).
• Familiarity with FINMA and EU regulatory standards.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to work independently based on factual evidence.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills within a team-oriented environment.
• Detail-oriented approach to analyzing processes, data sets, and control environments.
• Highly organized with strong prioritization abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and banking software.
• Legal right to reside and work in Switzerland.

Nice to have

• Holding CPA or CIA certification is considered an advantage.
