Group Financial Controller & Risk Manager

Taurus SA seeks a Senior Group Financial Controller & Risk Manager in Geneva to oversee consolidated financial reporting, regulatory compliance with FINMA/SNB, and enterprise-wide risk management within a hybrid work model.

This position sits at the crossroads of digital assets and traditional regulated finance. As Taurus SA expands its international footprint, this role is critical for maintaining rigorous financial oversight and risk governance across all subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting, bookkeeping, and client account management.
• Handle management accounting and performance monitoring.
• Lead the end-to-end group consolidation process for all Taurus subsidiaries.
• Coordinate with external accounting firms to eliminate intragroup transactions promptly.
• Liaise with external auditors regarding statutory accounts and group consolidation.
• Manage regulatory reporting, including capital adequacy, liquidity rules, and FINMA/SNB statistics.
• Monitor the company’s risk profile across market, operational, credit, and liquidity risks.
• Conduct regular risk controls and market surveillance for the organized trading facility.
• Perform due diligence on correspondent banks, trading venues, and digital assets.
• Lead the risk control self-assessment (RCSA) process and coordinate with other control functions.
• Implement and maintain the operational risk framework.
• Coordinate ISAE audits and execute thematic risk reviews.

Requirements

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in audit or finance.
• Deep knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements (FINMA) and Swiss GAAP.
• Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and capital adequacy rules.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Fluency in English and French is required.

Nice to have

• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience with digital assets or blockchain-based financial products.
