Group Financial Controller & Risk Manager [Geneva]

Taurus SA seeks a Senior Group Financial Controller & Risk Manager in Geneva to oversee financial consolidation, regulatory reporting, and risk management for a FINMA-regulated digital asset firm.

This position supports the company’s rapid international expansion by ensuring the integrity of group-level financial data and risk profiles. Reporting directly to the CFO and CRO, the role is critical for maintaining compliance and operational stability across multiple subsidiaries and jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial and management accounting, including precise bookkeeping for client accounts and performance monitoring.
  • Lead the complete group consolidation process for all subsidiaries, coordinating with external accounting firms to eliminate intragroup transactions.
  • Manage regulatory submissions, including capital adequacy, liquidity rules, risk distribution, and statistics for FINMA and the Swiss National Bank.
  • Monitor the overall risk profile, covering market, operational, credit, counterparty, and liquidity risks.
  • Conduct regular risk controls and market surveillance for the trading facility.
  • Perform due diligence on correspondent banks, trading venues, and digital assets.
  • Lead the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process and collaborate with other control functions.
  • Enhance the operational risk framework and ensure its ongoing adequacy.
  • Coordinate ISAE audits and execute thematic risk reviews.
  • Liaise with external auditors regarding statutory accounts and consolidation.

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of professional experience in audit or finance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Swiss GAAP financial reporting standards.
  • Deep understanding of FINMA regulatory requirements and capital adequacy rules.
  • Strong grasp of risk management frameworks.
  • Fluency in both English and French.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and strong communication skills, with experience working across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

  • Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA.
  • Prior exposure to digital assets or blockchain-based financial products.
