Senior Trust Officer

Capital Trustees AG seeks a Senior Trust Officer in Lugano to expand its international trust business visibility in LATAM and Brazil, leveraging legal expertise and multilingual skills.

This position is based at a Finma-licensed trustee firm in Lugano. The primary objective is to enhance the company's profile within the global wealth management sector, with a specific emphasis on the Latin American market and Brazil. The role involves building professional networks and supporting wealth planning activities for existing clients in these regions.

Responsibilities

• Boost the firm's recognition for international trust services among wealth management professionals, particularly in Latin America and Brazil.
• Establish and maintain professional connections with external partners such as lawyers, bankers, accountants, and tax advisors operating in LATAM financial markets.
• Assist the team in managing wealth planning matters for current clients located in Brazil and the broader Latin American region.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer based in Brazil.
• Minimum of three years of experience in trust and wealth planning for high-net-worth individuals.
• Prior work experience within a trust company, a law firm specializing in private clients, or single/multi-family offices.
• Strong understanding of wealth planning for high-net-worth individuals, especially regarding real estate and shipping assets.
• Proficiency in the legal aspects of private investments, real estate transactions, and corporate holdings, including contract drafting, due diligence, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience providing wealth planning and inheritance consultancy for athletes.
• Fluency in English, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of a fifth language.
• Authorship of peer-reviewed publications.
• TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) qualification.
