Software Engineer

The company seeks a Mid-level Software Engineer for its Print Engine team to design and maintain digital printing module software using modern C++.

This position belongs to the transversal Group Technology R&D team, specifically within the Print Engine group responsible for developing next-generation digital printers. The engineer will focus on designing, implementing, and testing products that enhance machine versatility, while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure high software quality and robust performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance functionality for the Digital Printing Module.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure daily CI compliance.
• Maintain software for the existing product portfolio.
• Analyze mechanical, electrical, and software interactions within the module.
• Promote team knowledge regarding technology evolutions in performance, robustness, and security.
• Ensure software quality standards through automated testing.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as standups, sprint planning, and reviews.
• Collaborate with software engineers, automation experts, product owners, field technicians, and customers.

Requirements

• Strong background in Computer Science or Microengineering/Robotics, including concurrency, distributed computing, relational databases, TCP/IP, and computer architecture.
• Proven experience in industrial development using modern C/C++20.
• Excellent command of C++ STL, particularly containers and algorithms.
• Strong debugging and profiling capabilities.
• Basic understanding of SDLC, development models, and design patterns.
• Experience with Git, preferably using Azure workflows.
• MSc degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Microengineering/Robotics.
• Proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLCs (Beckhoff or Siemens).
• Skills in Quality Assurance for electro-mechanical systems.
• Background in Robotics or printing machines.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of VMWare ESXi, cloud, and networking infrastructures.
• French language skills.
