Solutions Architect

Agriculture and Climate Risk Enterprise Ltd. seeks a Senior Solutions Architect to design scalable IT solutions, align technology with business goals, and minimize technical debt across its African operations.

The company is looking for an experienced architect to lead the design and refinement of technology solutions. This role focuses on ensuring that all implemented systems support the organization's strategic objectives while maintaining high standards of quality and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee end-to-end solution architectures for various projects.
• Analyze business drivers to define technical requirements and solution strategies.
• Ensure IT solutions meet both technical specifications and business needs.
• Provide architectural guidance to keep projects aligned with the business roadmap.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to create actionable IT roadmaps.
• Identify the best approaches for solving business problems, including process improvements.
• Manage conflicts among stakeholders with differing interests and requirements.
• Maintain a repository of methodologies, deliverables, and business development documents.
• Promote the use of standardized design patterns to improve consistency.
• Work with quality assurance teams to plan performance and non-functional testing.
• Lead capacity planning to ensure solutions remain scalable and performant.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT architecture.
• Minimum of 3 years working specifically as a solutions architect.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack developer.
• Strong background in database integration and management.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with API development on Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), or Microservice Architecture (MSA).
• Cloud Solution Architect certifications.
• Cloud AI certifications.
