Specialist, Market Operations

Coinbase seeks a Mid-level Specialist for Market Operations to provide frontline support for its Derivatives and International Exchanges in a remote role based in Switzerland.

This position serves as the primary operational support layer for the Coinbase Derivatives Exchange (CDE) and Coinbase International Exchange (INTX). The team operates around the clock to guarantee that trading and clearing infrastructure remains stable and reliable for all users.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate technical and functional assistance for electronic trading, clearing systems, and exchange applications across CDE and INTX.
• Address customer questions regarding platform functionality, market events, connectivity issues, product schedules, and business technology.
• Manage initial support for internal and external operational investigations, including the analysis and resolution of error trades.
• Collaborate with product and engineering groups to introduce new offerings, apply platform updates, and conduct deployment testing in pre-production settings.
• Assist with client and vendor onboarding, focusing on connectivity configuration and initial issue triage.
• Spot opportunities for process enhancements that support business expansion and improve the reliability of exchange operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Economics, Finance, or a comparable technical discipline.
• At least one year of experience in financial markets operations or a related technical operations capacity.
• Solid understanding of listed futures or options products and their operational mechanics.
• Practical background in analyzing and resolving error trades.
• Track record of diagnosing and fixing complex issues within trading and clearing platforms.
• Experience handling support requests via voice, email, and chat while maintaining high quality during high-volume, time-sensitive periods.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of prediction markets, event contracts, the FIX protocol, SQL, or CRM platforms like Salesforce and JIRA.
• Ability to use generative AI tools responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance output quality.
