Operations Manager, Bermuda

Coinbase seeks an Operations Manager in Switzerland to oversee Bermuda operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and strategic growth under the COO.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this position is responsible for the comprehensive management of Coinbase Bermuda’s activities. The role spans product and regulatory operations, service delivery, technology, and the oversight of outsourced functions. The incumbent will ensure that all Bermuda entities maintain operational resilience and adhere strictly to regulatory standards while driving country-level growth initiatives that align with the global business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational functions within Coinbase Bermuda and its outsourced partners, including the implementation of policies and the administration of service level agreement (SLA) frameworks.
• Develop and sustain supervision frameworks across key business areas to guarantee alignment with regulatory mandates and operational best practices.
• Direct the creation of operational resilience frameworks, covering risk identification, contingency planning, and the coordination of incident response.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to project-manage critical operations and risk-related initiatives.
• Support first-line defense activities, such as launch assessments, internal audits, regulatory examinations, and supervisory touchpoints.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in financial services, with a proven track record of overseeing operations strategy, outsourcing, and vendor management in a regulated setting.
• Experience within a regulated financial institution or investment business, specifically focusing on trade supervision in crypto, equities, or derivatives.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and enhance operational processes, produce documentation suitable for regulators, and manage cross-functional delivery with senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with operational resilience frameworks, incident management, and business continuity planning within the financial services sector.
• Prior experience navigating a Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA)-regulated industry, including knowledge of BMA requirements and supervisory expectations.
