Forum Fribourg SA seeks a Mid-level Specialist for the MENA region within the Centre for Energy and Materials. The role involves project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and analysis for emerging markets.
This position sits within the Emerging Markets Deployment Team at the Centre for Energy and Materials (CENMAT). Reporting to the Emerging Markets Head, the specialist will concentrate on the Middle East and North Africa, supporting high-level initiatives and fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders to address regional energy and industrial challenges.
Responsibilities
- Execute Forum projects focused on energy, industry, and materials, aligning with the strategic goals of business and government partners in the MENA region.
- Assist the Saudi Arabia Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution by providing advisory support and managing project workflows.
- Conduct desktop research and periodic analysis to produce pre-reads, internal briefings, reports, blog posts, and session frameworks.
- Facilitate stakeholder consultations and identify key partners to enhance programming and events for the Centre.
- Oversee partner retention and acquisition efforts to drive high-quality growth and expand the Forum’s impact in developing markets.
- Provide cross-functional coordination to the EMD Team, including scheduling, regional analysis, and communications support.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in energy, environmental sciences, sustainable development, international relations, public policy, or a closely related discipline.
- At least four years of professional experience working in multistakeholder environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English.
Nice to have
- Deep knowledge of energy, industrial, and materials transitions within the Middle East.
- Familiarity with local policy landscapes, business etiquette, and regional dynamics.
- Proven track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects addressing energy or industrial transformation in emerging markets.
- Proficiency in Arabic.
