Switchboard operator

EFG International seeks a Switchboard operator in Lugano to manage incoming calls and provide administrative support within a global private banking group.

Based in Lugano, this position focuses on managing the flow of incoming communications. The primary objective is to ensure callers receive accurate information and are directed to the appropriate contacts efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet callers, answer inquiries, and route calls to the correct departments or individuals.
• Leave messages for staff when necessary and maintain accurate records of communications.
• Update and maintain phone directories and other contact lists through data entry tasks.
• Carry out general administrative duties as assigned by the team.
• Handle all client and internal information with strict confidentiality and discretion.

Requirements

• Completion of a commercial education program.
• Fluency in English, Italian, French, and German.
• Between two and four years of prior experience working as a switchboard operator.
• Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite.
