System Engineer Customer Solutions

Evatec seeks a System Engineer for Customer Solutions to commission systems globally, troubleshoot technical issues, and align product development with client needs. This hybrid role requires strong engineering skills and bilingual proficiency.

This position focuses on the global deployment of complex systems, requiring the engineer to manage commissioning processes, diagnose root causes for hardware and software challenges, and ensure that customer requirements are translated into reliable technical solutions. Responsibilities

• Assist installation teams and clients during the commissioning and handover phases of new systems.
• Diagnose and fix software and hardware defects, conducting investigations both internally and at customer locations.
• Define specific system and software requirements for clients and work closely with product management teams.
• Perform testing and qualification procedures for system software and new hardware components.
• Keep technical documentation up to date and coordinate technical matters across service, engineering, and product management departments.

Requirements

• A technical degree or equivalent education in system engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fluent command of both English and German languages.
• Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in vacuum technology, the semiconductor sector, or equipment engineering.
