SonarSource seeks a Technical Product Manager - Code Quality in Geneva, CH, to shape the code quality offering for SonarQube products. The role requires deep technical knowledge and product management experience to help developers write more reliable and maintainable code.
This position is part of the Product Management team responsible for the vision and roadmaps of SonarQube Cloud, SonarQube Server, and SonarQube for IDE. The focus is on advancing the code quality offering to support developers in creating more reliable and maintainable software, requiring both technical expertise and product management experience.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to shaping the Code Quality Product Vision and communicate it internally and externally.
- Research, clarify, and prioritize opportunities to build and maintain an effective product roadmap.
- Engage with users and customers on the product forum to support them, gather feedback, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop a thorough understanding of code quality and how to enable developers to write more reliable and maintainable software.
- Collaborate with other product managers to design features that span multiple products.
- Work with engineering and UX teams to define problems and support them throughout the development lifecycle.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to balance innovation, consolidation, and stability.
- Participate in conferences and deliver talks if desired.
- Support the Product Management team in improving its organization, tools, and processes.
Requirements
- A strong passion for software development and principles that ensure reliable and maintainable applications.
- In-depth understanding of code quality within at least one programming language or ecosystem.
- Technical knowledge of architectures related to code scanning and static analysis.
- Experience with recent advancements in AI-assisted coding.
- Background in software product management, ideally in an agile environment.
- Highly autonomous and practical in approach.
- Open-minded and positive, with a proactive can-do attitude.
- Comfortable navigating change, complexity, and uncertainty.
- Self-confident, able to challenge existing practices and accept feedback.
- Leadership ability to take ownership and drive initiatives from start to finish.
