The company is seeking an intern in Zug, Switzerland, to support AI and automation projects within a pharmaceutical setting. The role focuses on developing technical solutions and collaborating across departments.

This internship offers a structured opportunity to apply external perspectives on artificial intelligence and automation to the pharmaceutical business. The position is designed to provide targeted, project-based support while allowing the candidate to gain exposure to core operations. The role is paid and located in Baar, Switzerland, with a duration of two to four months.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate prototypes for AI and automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and quality.
  • Leverage current knowledge of emerging technologies to find practical applications within a regulated industry.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including commercial, medical, and IT teams, to analyze workflows and identify improvement areas.
  • Manage small to medium-scale projects that deliver measurable business value.
  • Present technical findings and progress updates to non-technical colleagues.
  • Engage in planning sessions and strategic discussions to contribute insights and learn about business operations.
  • Maintain professional conduct and adhere to company values in all interactions.
  • Deliver a final presentation or capstone project summarizing key achievements and learnings.

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program with a focus on AI, automation, or process optimization.
  • Demonstrate the ability to convert business challenges into technical solutions.
  • Possess an analytical mindset and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Show strong communication skills and the capacity to collaborate across different teams.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Be willing to travel if necessary.
  • Exhibit strong organizational abilities and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Work well both independently and within a team setting.
  • Show initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn in a dynamic environment.

Nice to have

  • Previous internship experience, leadership roles, or project-based work is preferred.
  • Familiarity with automation tools, scripting, data analysis, AI/ML concepts, or low-code/no-code platforms is advantageous.
  • An interest in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector is highly valued.
