Adaptyv is developing an automated lab system where AI agents can design experiments, run biological assays, and iterate on results. The company is scaling rapidly to meet demand from biopharmaceuticals and AI labs, and this internship supports that growth by integrating software, hardware, and wet lab workflows into a unified, AI-driven science platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and machine learning tools such as internal applications, data pipelines, automation scripts, model evaluations, and AI agents.
• Support lab automation by connecting instruments, troubleshooting lab work cells, and creating hardware integration solutions.
• Perform hands-on biology tasks and help optimize production workflows in the lab.
• Address operational and logistical challenges, including resolving supplier, inventory, or process bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Applicant must be a student, recent graduate, or early-career professional without a fixed career path.
• Must demonstrate a tangible creation — such as a project, code repository, research paper, hack, side venture, or competition success.
• Must be able to quickly identify key issues in unfamiliar problems and begin making progress independently.
• Must be a fast learner with a generalist mindset, able to adapt to new domains rapidly.
• Must be comfortable using AI-native tools, including coding agents like Claude Code, as a standard part of their workflow.
• Must exhibit high energy and initiative, proactively identifying and solving problems.
