Application Development Intern - Engineering

Lunaphore Technologies SA seeks an Application Development Intern in Tolochenaz, CH, to test prototypes, optimize immunostaining assays, and support continuous improvement within the Engineering team.

This internship sits within the Application Development Team Leader – Engineering and supports a company dedicated to advancing research in Life Sciences and Clinical Diagnostics. The position focuses on validating new features and refining assays for microfluidic platforms.

Responsibilities

• Validate prototype capabilities through microfluidic and immunostaining tests on tissue samples, alongside verification and validation procedures.
• Create and run immunofluorescence protocols to evaluate product features built by mechanical and software groups.
• Refine and optimize immunostaining assays on histological samples utilizing the firm's microfluidic systems.
• Support ongoing enhancements to prototypes and final products.
• Capture and process images, analyze data, and document findings.

Requirements

• Hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrate practical experience in optimizing immunoassays.
• Show proficiency in microscopy for analyzing histological specimens.
• Possess hands-on experience with microfluidic devices.
• Maintain strong skills in data analysis and image processing.
• Be fluent in both French and English.
