Optotune Switzerland AG seeks an Intern in Application Engineering in Dietikon to support customer integration, conduct feasibility studies, and automate lens performance tests using Python.
This internship sits within the Application Engineering department, acting as a vital bridge between the company’s products and customer integration needs. The position focuses on evaluating new application concepts and performing feasibility studies to help clients utilize adaptive optical elements effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop Python scripts to automate testing and analyze how lenses perform across various environmental scenarios.
- Investigate and experiment with 3D reconstruction techniques utilizing liquid lenses.
- Assist the Application Engineering group by conducting specific product evaluations or preliminary feasibility assessments.
Requirements
- Hold a Master’s degree in engineering or physics, or possess an equivalent technical qualification.
- Demonstrate hands-on programming capabilities in languages such as C, C#, or Python.
- Communicate fluently in English.
Nice to have
- Prior exposure to Computer Vision projects or concepts.
- Competent German language skills.
