Jet Aviation seeks an AI Engineering intern for a 6-month term in Basel. The role involves developing AI solutions for aerospace workflows using Python and Azure.
This internship places candidates within the Engineering department’s AI team at Jet Aviation. The position offers practical experience in a fast-paced engineering environment, allowing the intern to collaborate with experts on projects that influence the future of aerospace technology.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering, IT, and AI specialists to build and implement AI tools for real-world engineering processes.
- Identify potential use cases with engineering teams and investigate how technologies like agentic AI, MCP, RAG, and automation can address specific business needs.
- Create, prototype, and test AI applications that connect with engineering software, technical documents, and APIs.
- Assist in building and deploying AI solutions utilizing Python, FastAPI, and Azure.
- Draft technical reports, presentations, and documentation to share project updates and key results.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a degree program related to aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, data science, or a similar discipline.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python.
- Understand core concepts including LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, machine learning, and cloud deployment.
- Possess fluent English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Prior experience using Git.
- Ability to communicate in French and/or German.
