Third-Party Risk Manager – CRO Non-Financial Risk 100% (f/m/d)

Baer AG seeks a Third-Party Risk Manager for its CRO Non-Financial Risk team in Zürich. The role focuses on implementing risk frameworks, managing IT and AI requirements, and supporting regulatory reporting.

This position sits within the Chief Risk Officer's Non-Financial Risk division at Baer AG. The role plays a key part in defining the future direction of wealth management by strengthening the firm's third-party risk management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Help execute the global rollout of the group's third-party risk management framework according to the established roadmap.
• Identify business use cases and technical needs for IT projects and AI tools; create and run tests for system upgrades and migrations.
• Support the Risk Transformation Office with portfolio risk evaluations, operational reviews, control checks, and international regulatory reporting; ensure prompt follow-up on incidents and action items.
• Gather, verify, and format quantitative and qualitative reports for committees and key stakeholders.
• Keep central documentation, such as wiki pages, procedures, and templates, up to date; create and deliver training sessions to promote consistent adoption across all locations.
• Organize stakeholder meetings, monitor framework implementation progress, and perform quality reviews on resolution strategies and exit plans worldwide.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent, preferably in economics or law.
• 3 to 5 years of practical experience in non-financial risk management, ideally gained through management consulting, accounting, or law firms.
• Solid understanding of outsourcing and third-party risk regulations, along with industry best practices.
• Experience using ServiceNow for process automation, ticketing, and IT service management workflows.
• Ability to draft clear business requirements for IT implementations and AI use cases within third-party risk management applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.
• Strong analytical and project delivery skills, with a hands-on approach to turning concepts into practical solutions.
• Excellent PowerPoint and presentation abilities.
• Proven capacity to quickly grasp new concepts and integrate complex information across multifunctional areas.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and hands-on personality.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond positively to change.
• Fluency in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
