TradeXBank AG seeks a Head of Risk in Zürich to lead the risk department, develop risk strategy, and oversee credit, market, and operational risks within regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and develop the Risk team, focusing on building both technical expertise and interpersonal skills.
- Set clear priorities, track team performance, and drive productivity while upholding strict risk standards.
- Act as the main liaison for supervisory authorities and external auditors.
- Prepare documentation for monthly supervisory reviews, lead audit processes, and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
- Provide regular risk updates to the CEO, CRO, Executive Board, and Board of Directors.
- Offer independent second-line guidance on risk strategy, emerging threats, and strategic projects.
- Evaluate and support business line risk strategies to ensure alignment with the bank's risk appetite.
- Develop, update, and maintain the risk supervision framework, policies, and procedures to meet regulatory and market standards.
- Participate in pre- and post-transaction risk decisions, including credit limits, financing, and ratings.
- Organize and chair Risk Committee meetings.
- Lead change management efforts and champion a proactive risk culture throughout the company.
- Manage and monitor the annual budget for the Risk Department.
Requirements
- Extensive expertise in credit, market, and operational risks, particularly within commodity trade finance or structured finance.
- Proven experience with inventory financing, borrowing-base facilities, and receivable financing.
- Strong background in Enterprise Risk Management (COSO ERM), including governance and internal control design.
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss banking regulations, FINMA requirements, and the Basel III framework.
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 15 years of experience in risk management, ideally in commodity or structured trade finance.
- Minimum of 10 years in senior risk management roles.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AML/KYC/sanctions compliance is advantageous.
- Experience integrating ESG factors into risk frameworks is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or PRM, along with membership in GARP or IRM, are preferred.
