Trading Intern

Crypto Finance AG seeks a Trading Intern in Zurich for a six-month onsite role supporting daily trading operations, market analysis, and platform improvements within a collaborative fintech environment.

This six-month fixed-term position places the intern directly on the trading desk in Zurich. The primary purpose is to assist traders with daily client execution, monitor market movements, and help refine internal workflows and platform functionality. The role serves as a hands-on learning opportunity within the company's core trading infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily client trading operations, including order monitoring, trade verification, and post-trade follow-up.
• Track positions, client flows, and market shifts throughout the day, alerting traders to any irregularities.
• Study the trading platform and product suite to propose ideas for enhancing pricing, execution, and internal processes.
• Create regular reports and analyses covering trading activity, client flows, venue performance, and market conditions.
• Help manage operational accounts, handling cash, collateral, and reconciliation tasks across various venues.
• Research digital asset market structures, venues, and trends, then summarize findings into internal briefings.
• Support client and counterparty interactions by preparing materials and managing follow-ups.
• Work with Sales, Product, Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams on operational and strategic projects.
• Participate in testing and launching platform updates and new trading products.
• Adhere strictly to regulatory standards and internal company policies.

Requirements

• Currently in the final year of or recently graduated with a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated interest in financial markets, trading, and digital assets, supported by academic projects, personal experience, or prior internships.
• Basic grasp of financial instruments and a strong desire to learn about derivatives and crypto market structures.
• Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive, hands-on mindset with the ability to remain organized in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments.
• Solid working knowledge of Excel.
• Full professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Availability to work full-time onsite in Zurich for at least six months.
• Valid permit to work in Switzerland or eligibility to obtain one.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python, SQL, or VBA.
• Proficiency in additional languages.
