Goldman Sachs, Inc. seeks a Vice President for Transaction Banking Vendor Management to oversee IT vendor relationships, contracts, and risk mitigation in Switzerland.

The company is looking for a senior professional to strategically manage its relationships with key technology vendors. This position covers the complete vendor lifecycle, including selection, negotiation, performance monitoring, and risk management, ensuring that external partners deliver optimal value and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle for IT vendors, including software, hardware, and professional services, from drafting and negotiation to execution and renewal.
  • Ensure all vendor agreements comply with organizational policies, legal standards, and business goals.
  • Monitor contract adherence and address any deviations or breaches promptly.
  • Maintain a centralized database of all vendor contracts and associated documentation.
  • Lead complex negotiations to secure favorable pricing, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance metrics.
  • Serve as the primary contact for key vendors, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to assess vendor performance and discuss strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities to ensure alignment with the organization's technology roadmap.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to assess the integration, scalability, and security of vendor solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to vendor relationships, including operational, financial, security, and compliance issues.
  • Develop and implement vendor risk assessment frameworks and due diligence processes.
  • Ensure vendors adhere to security policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Create contingency plans and exit strategies for critical vendor services.
  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and SLAs for all managed vendors.
  • Analyze vendor performance data to identify trends, improvement areas, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on vendor performance, risk posture, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams on vendor selection processes, including RFI/RFP development and evaluation.
  • Contribute to the development of vendor management strategies and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT vendor management, procurement, contract management, or strategic sourcing.
  • Proven track record of successful negotiation and contract execution.
  • Experience managing technology vendors and understanding IT service delivery models.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing vendor risk management frameworks.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in contract law principles and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, software, and service delivery models.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus.
