The company seeks a PMO Operations Manager to lead governance, planning, and reporting for a global ERP transformation program in Zug, Switzerland.
This position operates within the Project/Program Management Group of the Innovative Medicine business unit. The role supports Transcend, a worldwide initiative focused on modernizing transactional workflows and merging seven ERP systems into a single S/4 HANA platform.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily PMO activities within a complex, multi-release program setting.
- Direct planning, governance coordination, risk oversight, reporting, and decision-support workflows.
- Guide PMO functions through all program phases to ensure strong governance and aligned execution.
- Manage integrated planning, RAID tracking, and change control procedures.
- Monitor schedule performance by maintaining accurate, data-backed progress tracking against the master plan.
- Control scope changes by assessing, recording, and aligning adjustments with program goals.
- Provide clear, consistent status updates to various governance tiers.
- Promote predictive delivery methods to spot potential risks and opportunities early.
- Maintain alignment with compliance and quality benchmarks.
- Manage PMO staff, including Deployment Leads and offshore groups.
- Offer daily guidance, coaching, and support to foster a collaborative, high-performing team.
- Enhance PMO processes, tools, and team skills through data-driven continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least six years of program or portfolio management experience in complex, global settings.
- Proven leadership in PMO functions for large-scale transformations like ERP rollouts.
- Ability to lead PMO teams and coordinate cross-functional, distributed resources.
- Deep knowledge of delivery governance, including RAID management, schedule and scope control, reporting, and risk oversight.
- Use data insights to inform decisions and drive PMO improvements.
- Lead, coach, and develop teams in a matrixed structure.
- Strong business acumen, including understanding of compliance, quality standards, and change management in regulated sectors.
- Proficiency with project management tools and platforms, applying Agile and Waterfall methods as required.

- Advanced degree or MBA is preferred.
