Verification Team Lead

Amazon Switzerland seeks a Senior Verification Team Lead to drive verification strategies for Graviton server SoC sub-systems in a remote, full-time role.

This position serves as the senior technical lead for design verification of complex sub-systems within the Graviton server SoC. The team functions with the agility of a start-up while leveraging the extensive resources of a major cloud provider, focusing on high-quality silicon delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define verification strategies and translate product requirements into technical plans before RTL development begins.
• Collaborate closely with software teams to validate hardware-software interfaces and ensure stack-wide integration.
• Integrate physical design considerations into functional verification to align logical correctness with silicon behavior.
• Lead verification efforts for IO sub-systems, including interconnect protocols, peripheral interfaces, and system-level integration.
• Validate ARM advanced interconnect protocols (AMBA CHI/ACE/AXI) to ensure coherency, performance, and protocol compliance.
• Verify IO virtualization features such as SMMU/TLB operations, page table walks, and memory attributes.
• Create constrained-random and directed test strategies to address corner cases, coherency races, and system boundaries.
• Achieve coverage closure using functional coverage models, assertions, and formal methods.
• Contribute to performance verification to ensure micro-architectural implementations meet both correctness and speed targets.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical or Computer Science.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in full-chip or system-level verification for large-scale SoCs.
• Proficiency in test writing and software development using C, C++, or Assembly.
• Hands-on experience with debugging on emulation or silicon platforms, including waveform analysis and coverage definition.

Nice to have

• Understanding of ARM architecture.
• Familiarity with Perl, Bash, TCl, or Python.
• Knowledge of processors, PCIe, Ethernet, or DDR technologies.
• Experience with hardware verification concepts and tools such as UVM, SystemVerilog, Verilog, Specman, or Coverage Driven Verification.
