VP of Engineering

Neuralconcept seeks a VP of Engineering in Lausanne, CH, to lead and scale a high-performing software engineering organization. The role involves driving product delivery, shaping engineering culture, and collaborating with leadership to execute the company’s technology roadmap in a hybrid work environment.

As VP of Engineering, you will lead the development and scaling of Neuralconcept’s engineering organization, translating product vision into reliable software delivery. Your focus will be on building sustainable teams, improving engineering practices, and ensuring quality and velocity as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across product and platform projects
• Convert product and technical goals into actionable plans, milestones, and commitments
• Spot potential risks early and manage trade-offs with transparency
• Adapt team structures, ownership, and collaboration methods as the company scales
• Mentor and develop engineering managers and technical leads
• Continuously align the engineering organization with company growth
• Implement simple, effective development processes that scale without excessive bureaucracy
• Apply AI technologies to enhance engineering impact while preserving agile team sizes
• Define and monitor key engineering performance indicators
• Collaborate with the CTO to maintain strong architectural standards and long-term technical health
• Promote practical solutions for technical debt, testing quality, and operational excellence
• Work with GTM and deployment teams to ensure secure and smooth deployments across diverse customer environments
• Coordinate with Product, Research, Deployment, and Leadership teams
• Represent engineering in cross-functional and customer-facing discussions
• Partner with the CTO to provide clear insights on execution, risks, and organizational health

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale software engineering teams
• Proven track record of scaling engineering teams, including doubling in size and managing 50+ engineers
• Experience in managing engineering managers and technical leads
• History of delivering in fast-paced, low-process environments
• Broad knowledge of modern software architecture, infrastructure, and security
• Deep understanding of AI technologies applied to software engineering
• Ability to engage with engineers on technical design, trade-offs, and system reliability
• Comfortable working in AI- and data-driven product environments
• Skill in balancing speed, quality, and long-term sustainability
