AI Engineer - Dexterous Manipulation

Flexion Robotics in Zürich seeks a mid-level AI Engineer to develop and deploy learning-based controllers for dexterous manipulation. The role requires expertise in advanced models like diffusion, flow matching, or reinforcement learning, along with hands-on robotics experience and Python/PyTorch skills.

This position focuses on creating and deploying cutting-edge learning-based control systems that enable robots to interact with their environment and manipulate objects more reliably and flexibly.

Requirements

• Practical experience in robotics and expertise in modern models for dexterous manipulation, including Diffusion Models, Flow Matching, or Reinforcement Learning
• A PhD or master’s degree in robotics, with relevant project experience such as a master’s thesis in data-driven manipulation or diffusion models
• Strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and training deep neural networks
• Experience running learning-based controllers on actual robot hardware
• Solid understanding of diffusion models and transformers

Nice to have

• Experience with ROS and perception models is advantageous
