Destinus seeks a Mid-level Assembly & Test Technician in Payerne, CH, to assemble, wire, and test UAV prototypes and small production batches.
The company is looking for a technician to handle the physical build and validation of unmanned aerial vehicle systems. This position bridges prototype development and low-volume manufacturing, ensuring that mechanical, electronic, and software components integrate correctly before release.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly, drilling, cabling, and functional testing of UAV prototypes and small production runs.
- Wire and test electronic systems to verify performance and reliability.
- Create and update assembly documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs), work instructions, and test procedures.
- Manage inventory, tools, and components to maintain workspace efficiency and material availability.
- Partner with hardware and software engineers to troubleshoot issues and enhance system quality.
- Oversee stock levels and inventory processes for the research and development team.
Requirements
- Hold a CFC qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or possess an equivalent technical background.
- Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical tasks such as drilling, assembly, and electrical wiring.
- Show strong soldering skills and experience with electronic assembly techniques.
- Be comfortable operating laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes and signal generators.
- Communicate effectively in English at a CEFR B2 level.
