Goldman Sachs seeks an Associate for its AWM Public Product Control team in Switzerland to oversee investment valuation and price verification for various fund types.
This position sits within the Asset & Wealth Management Public Product Control group. The team provides oversight on the valuation of equities, fixed income, alternatives, and derivatives across mutual funds, separate accounts, and hedge funds. The primary focus of the role is ensuring accurate price verification for these investments.
Responsibilities
- Support the verification of prices for fixed income securities and over-the-counter derivative positions within investment portfolios.
- Help build a framework for valuing and verifying prices for new securities, funds, and alternative products.
- Collaborate with independent fund administrators to address daily valuation queries regarding securities in mutual funds.
- Provide recommendations for fair valuation of assets.
- Prepare management reports and key valuation metrics for business leaders, Controllers Management, and Fund Boards.
- Manage the annual due diligence process for third-party pricing vendors and brokers.
- Review and update the Valuation Policy on an annual basis.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capacity to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
- Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
- Proactive approach with the ability to work efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and AI tools such as Copilot.
- A strong desire to learn and understand valuation methods for the specified security types.
Nice to have
- A degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Holding or pursuing CFA or CPA designations is advantageous.
- Two to five years of experience in financial markets or investment management is preferred.
