State Street Bank International seeks a Country Head for Switzerland to lead the Investment Services and CCO strategy in Zürich, managing client relationships, regulatory compliance, and P&L performance.
This senior leadership position serves as the primary executive for State Street’s operations in Switzerland, reporting within the EMEA structure. The role is responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction of the Investment Services and Client Custody Operations business locally, ensuring alignment with global objectives while fostering deep partnerships with clients and regulators.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the strategic plan for the Swiss market to drive growth in Investment Services and CCO.
- Serve as the local executive owner for all services delivered within Switzerland, ensuring operational excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, management companies, investment funds, and industry directors.
- Oversee business operations to ensure strict adherence to legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.
- Manage financial performance, including meeting revenue targets and controlling expenses.
- Lead the Country Leadership team and chair relevant risk and legal entity committees.
- Advocate for the company with Swiss and European regulators, maintaining a positive and proactive stance.
- Develop account plans and sales targets for existing clients and new prospects through relationship managers.
- Conduct regular reviews of deal pipelines and strategic market positions.
- Represent the firm on regional and global committees, as well as in industry organizations and public policy forums.

Requirements
- Extensive experience as a senior leader capable of aligning executive teams around shared goals.
- Deep understanding of the investment funds and investment management sectors.
- Proven success in business development and managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities.
- Strong ability to navigate complex regulatory environments, with a positive history of interaction with Swiss and European authorities.
- Fluency in both German and English.
- Executive presence and a strong reputation within the financial market.
- Demonstrated skill in managing intricate regulatory relationships and stakeholder expectations.
- Broad knowledge of various business segments, products, and strategic approaches.
