SonarSource seeks a Deal Desk Specialist in Geneva to manage quote-to-cash operations, support sales teams, and ensure compliance with financial and legal policies.

This position acts as a central point for all deal-related activities within the quote-to-cash workflow. The specialist helps transform business operations by supporting sales teams, optimizing approval processes, and maintaining key performance metrics to drive company goals.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with sales representatives on committed pipeline opportunities.
  • Create standard and complex quotes using CPQ tools, aligning with customer requirements and pricing rules.
  • Evaluate deal support activities to confirm compliance with sales, finance, and legal guidelines.
  • Streamline approval workflows for contracts and order forms to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Partner with sales to clarify deal details, qualify opportunities, and troubleshoot potential problems.
  • Respond promptly to deal inquiries through cases, Slack, or email, meeting established service level agreements.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize documentation required for deal execution.
  • Ensure high data integrity in Salesforce by accurately updating account details, contacts, and opportunity statuses.
  • Identify and resolve deal or contract discrepancies to mitigate risks.
  • Structure deals to align with revenue recognition standards, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Train and support sales teams on deal desk procedures and best practices.
  • Provide feedback on strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and streamline the deal process.

Requirements

  • Understanding of sales support operations, processes, and systems.
  • Experience supporting sales pipeline and deal progression.
  • Strong grasp of sales processes and pricing strategies.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data integrity and compliance.
  • Proficiency in crafting accurate and complex quotes.
  • Knowledge of general pricing strategies to maximize revenue and customer LifeTimeValue (LTV).
  • Familiarity with drafting and reviewing contracts.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with sales, finance and legal policies.
  • Ability to resolve issues efficiently and support revenue recognition standards.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data and metrics.
  • Capability to generate actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and CPQ tools.
  • Ability to leverage technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external interactions.
  • Ability to articulate strategies and solutions clearly to stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with sales, finance, legal, and other teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across departments.
  • Experience in conducting training sessions and providing continuous support to sales teams.
