Demand Manager (a), 80-100%

Bachem seeks a Demand Manager in Bubendorf to lead S&OP cycles and drive growth through accurate forecasting within a hybrid work model.

Positioned within the Global Supply Chain Management Network & Demand Center, this role is responsible for steering continuous organic growth. The incumbent will oversee demand planning activities, ensuring alignment across sales, project management, and supply planning functions to support strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine short-, mid-, and long-term demand projections by leveraging market trends, historical records, and business intelligence.
• Facilitate the monthly Demand Review for assigned product groups as a key component of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle.
• Evaluate forecast accuracy and variances, then execute necessary corrective measures.
• Partner with Sales, Project Management, and Supply Planning teams to synchronize responses to demand fluctuations.
• Apply forecasting software and ERP platforms, specifically SAP and IBP, for data analysis and projection generation.
• Generate reports and KPI analyses to facilitate informed decision-making.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, or Supply Chain management.
• Deep understanding of S&OP processes and forecasting methodologies.
• Competence in using ERP systems (SAP/IBP) and dedicated forecasting tools.
• Strong analytical capabilities, numerical proficiency, and a structured approach to work.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

• Proficiency in the German language.
