Revolution Medicines seeks a Director of Epidemiology for Europe to lead evidence generation strategies, ensuring alignment with global goals for RAS-addicted cancer therapies.
The company is looking for a senior epidemiology leader to drive evidence generation activities across the product lifecycle. This role supports Europe-based initiatives while maintaining consistency with global strategies, reporting directly to the Executive Director of Epidemiology.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of epidemiology plans that inform development, regulatory, and market access decisions.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert on cross-functional teams regarding epidemiologic matters.
- Align evidence generation objectives with clinical, regulatory, safety, and health technology assessment (HTA) goals.
- Produce key deliverables such as burden of illness studies, incidence and prevalence estimates, natural history assessments, and treatment pattern analyses.
- Collaborate with Global Patient Safety to contextualize safety signals and support benefit-risk evaluations.
- Oversee the design and implementation of post-approval safety studies on a global scale.
- Help refine epidemiology best practices, standards, and operating procedures within the Real World Data & Analytics function.
Requirements
- A PhD, DSc, or DrPH in epidemiology or a related advanced scientific discipline.
- Minimum of ten years of experience in epidemiology or pharmacoepidemiology within pharma, biotech, academia, or healthcare research.
- Strong technical command of pharmacoepidemiologic methods and real-world oncology data.
- Proficiency in applying appropriate biostatistical techniques.
- Proven track record supporting evidence generation for clinical development, regulatory, safety, or market access purposes.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and scientific rigor skills.
- High attention to detail and quality in scientific work.
- Strong interpersonal abilities with experience thriving in matrixed, global organizations.
- Demonstrated scientific communication skills, including publishing in peer-reviewed journals and delivering presentations.
Nice to have
- Background in oncology epidemiology or pharmacoepidemiology within the biopharmaceutical sector.
- Hands-on experience designing burden of illness, natural history, treatment pattern, external comparator, or trial contextualization studies.
- Familiarity with supporting regulatory submissions, orphan drug designations, HTA, Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA), or reimbursement activities.
- Knowledge of oncology data sources including electronic health records, claims, registries, and clinico-genomic datasets.
- Experience working within global development programs and cross-functional environments.
