Blp Digital in Zürich seeks a Mid-level Enterprise Solutions Engineer (Presales) to drive enterprise ERP automation decisions through insight selling, workshops, and demos. The role requires experience in solutions engineering, ERP consulting, and engaging senior stakeholders to uncover operational challenges and deliver tailored value narratives.
This role focuses on shaping and winning enterprise ERP automation decisions by reframing customer problems, quantifying the cost of inaction, and demonstrating value through targeted workshops and demonstrations.
Responsibilities
- Apply insight-based selling to challenge initial customer perspectives, identify where value is trapped, and create urgency using cost-of-inaction analysis.
- Lead discovery sessions with CFOs, CIOs, Shared Services, and Procurement to uncover operational bottlenecks and translate them into a clear target-state vision and joint action plan.
- Design customized solutions including scope, rollout strategy, integration approach, security setup, and success metrics.
- Conduct in-depth discussions with IT and security teams to explain how blp integrates into enterprise environments, including ERP digital twin, data sync, and governance controls.
- Present high-impact demos aligned with customer workflows (P2P, AP, S2P) that demonstrate outcomes rather than features.
- Facilitate workshops to convert stakeholder doubts into a concrete blueprint and clear path to value.
- Develop a compelling value story covering labor productivity, cycle time reduction, compliance improvements, and system simplification.
- Support account executives and champions with executive-level business case inputs, impact estimates, and rollout economics.
- Position blp against point solutions and fragmented stacks (OCR, IDP, RPA, process mining) by emphasizing an end-to-end, exceptions-first approach.
- Help the deal team establish a clear 'why now' based on operational risk, ERP program goals, and enterprise-scale needs.
Requirements
- 3–8+ years in Solutions Engineering, Presales, Solution Consulting, or ERP process consulting (or equivalent in finance/procurement operations with strong client-facing experience).
- Proven ability to conduct insight-driven discovery (Challenger-style), respectfully challenge assumptions, quantify impact, and build consensus across decision-making groups.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders (CFO, CIO, Head of Shared Services) and leading discussions without formal authority.
- Strong skills in facilitating workshops and delivering demos, including storytelling, structure, and handling objections.
- Ability to link technical implementation details to business results such as FTE capacity, cycle time, controls, compliance risk, and total cost of ownership.
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP systems (S/4, ECC) or multi-ERP environments.
- Knowledge of finance and process areas including AP, invoice processing, S2P/P2P, exception handling, approvals, and master data workflows.
- Background in competing against legacy vendors and fragmented technology stacks.
