Field Service Technician - Mechanic

BOBST seeks a Field Service Technician to handle machine installation, repair, and training in Poland. The role combines technical expertise with customer support to drive service excellence and sales growth.

As the primary on-site representative for BOBST, this position is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality machine installation, maintenance, and repair services. The technician also plays a key role in supporting new business opportunities by providing pre-sales technical insights and fostering strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Execute reactive repairs and troubleshooting for customer machinery.
• Lead the installation and configuration of complex equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance visits at client locations.
• Deliver training sessions for operators and maintenance staff on standard procedures.
• Mentor fellow field technicians on technical best practices and problem-solving.
• Document all service activities and interventions in compliance with company protocols.
• Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical support during the pre-sales phase.
• Identify and facilitate new business opportunities through direct customer interaction.
• Share technical knowledge and solutions with the broader field service community using internal platforms.

Requirements

• Formal technical education in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Proven experience in customer service or technical support roles.
• Native proficiency in Polish.
• Working proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Valid driver's license and readiness for frequent travel.
• Ability to manage travel expenses and logistics independently.
