Awin AG seeks a Finance Analytics Team Leader to drive financial reporting strategy and squad leadership in a hybrid role based in Switzerland.

This position operates at the crossroads of finance, data, and commercial strategy, playing a key role in defining the company’s financial trajectory. The incumbent serves as the Product Owner for the organization’s financial reporting, KPI tracking, and business planning tools, ensuring these systems effectively support decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end financial reporting and forecasting suite, covering sales, revenue, customer lifecycle, operational expenses, personnel costs, and key performance indicators using BI and EPM solutions.
  • Partner with the Global Head of Financial Analytics to shape vision, strategy, and roadmaps, including the adoption of new technologies like AI and machine learning.
  • Break down strategic roadmaps into actionable phases of discovery, design, implementation, and validation, ensuring clear deliverables, ownership, and timelines for each stage.
  • Establish the business logic and semantic layers that underpin Awin’s financial and business analytics.
  • Act as the primary liaison for business stakeholders, collaborating to identify and resolve complex business challenges.
  • Mentor two direct reports (Senior Financial Analyst and Financial Analyst) and one dotted-line Data Engineer, promoting technical development and high-quality output.
  • Work closely with Data Engineering squads to ingest and model the data required for analytics.
  • Oversee the squad backlog by refining requirements, prioritizing user stories, and maintaining alignment with stakeholder needs.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in financial or business analytics, including roles in product ownership or squad leadership, alongside a solid understanding of accounting and finance principles.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Tableau.
  • Fluent command of the English language.

Nice to have

  • Professional certifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or CFA, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Hands-on experience with Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platforms like Pigment or Anaplan.
  • Proficiency in an additional European language.
