Anavia seeks a Senior Flight Control Software Engineer in Bilten, CH, to design and test model-based software for autonomous flight sequences.
This position focuses on the creation, implementation, and validation of model-based software that enables new flight capabilities. The engineer is responsible for developing safe, reliable, and autonomous flight sequences that strictly adhere to safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and validate model-based software for new flight features.
- Execute simulation tests, including SIL and HIL, to verify new functionalities.
- Analyze data to assess algorithm performance and find areas for improvement.
- Develop analysis tools and process large datasets to create test reports.
- Produce documentation and training materials for flight control logic.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver product enhancements.
- Keep up with industry trends and apply best practices.
- Communicate complex technical issues to multidisciplinary teams.
- Adhere to company safety instructions, quality manuals, and process specifications.
- Travel internationally for up to 25% of working hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with model-based programming, ideally in aviation or space.
- Strong proficiency in Simulink or similar model-based tools.
- Solid understanding of flight dynamics.
- Ability to design comprehensive test programs from unit to system level.
- Excellent technical communication skills.
- Fluent English (oral and written).
- Swiss or EU citizenship required.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and best practices.
- Experience with C or Python programming.
- Prior experience with HIL and SIL testing.
- German language skills.
