Accelleron Industries seeks a Global Environmental Manager to lead sustainability efforts across international sites, focusing on carbon accounting, compliance, and decarbonization strategies.

This position sits within the global sustainability team and is responsible for defining and executing the environmental strategy across all worldwide facilities. Operating within a matrix structure, the role demands leadership through technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and influence rather than direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee corporate carbon accounting and environmental reporting to guarantee precise measurement, automated data handling, and readiness for audits.
  • Track and evaluate environmental performance indicators to generate actionable, data-backed insights for site-level improvements.
  • Create and roll out global environmental policies and procedures that comply with recognized international standards.
  • Champion projects related to pollution prevention, waste minimization, water stewardship, and overall environmental management at various facilities.
  • Contribute to group-wide decarbonization efforts by helping set targets, conducting technical evaluations, and developing implementation roadmaps.
  • Track advancement toward company goals, specifically including near-term climate targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
  • Design and conduct training sessions, workshops, and create guidance documents to enhance team capabilities and support policy adoption.
  • Maintain alignment with major reporting frameworks, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Greenhouse Gas Protocol, SBTi, and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

Requirements

  • Hold a university degree in environmental engineering, sustainability, or a closely related discipline.
  • Possess at least five years of professional experience in environmental roles, specifically managing environmental data within industrial settings.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience with projects aimed at reducing Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, as well as waste and water usage, in manufacturing or service environments.
  • Show technical proficiency in greenhouse gas accounting and the implementation of environmental management systems, such as ISO 14001.
  • Exhibit strong data management capabilities, including the ability to establish controls and processes that ensure the reliability of environmental information.
  • Have excellent communication skills and a strong command of the English language.
