Hardware Design Engineer

Leverdemo 8 seeks a Senior Hardware Design Engineer in Zürich to develop and maintain electronic circuits for ZI products within its R&D team.

This position sits within the Research and Development division in Zurich. The successful candidate will join a high-performing team dedicated to delivering best-in-class measurement software and hardware solutions.

Responsibilities

• Handle the full lifecycle of electronic circuit development for ZI products, including specification, design, implementation, and documentation of PCB-based systems.
• Perform characterization and qualification testing to ensure product standards.
• Manage and update design resources, such as EDA tools and PCB design libraries.
• Coordinate with and guide external partners, including PCB layout specialists and manufacturers.

Requirements

• Hold a BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Possess a minimum of five years of experience in circuit design and characterization of mixed-signal PCBs, covering analog/RF blocks, FPGA/DSP, mixed-signal circuits (ADC, DAC), and power supply conditioning.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EDA tools for circuit design and simulation, specifically Altium Designer and Spice.
• Be skilled in operating lab instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and VNAs.
• Have fluent English communication skills.
