Head of Program Management

Distalmotion seeks a Head of Program Management in Épalinges, CH, to lead cross-functional programs in product development, manufacturing, and launch. The role requires 5+ years in medical device program management, a master’s degree, and expertise in EN13485, MDR, and FDA standards.

This role is responsible for aligning and executing cross-functional programs across product development, industrialization, and operational launch to ensure consistency with the company’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Define, prioritize, and lead programs and projects spanning product development, industrialization, and operational launch
• Maintain consistent planning and strategic alignment across all departments
• Monitor project performance against time, budget, and risk, and resolve issues with key stakeholders
• Manage cross-functional initiatives and Product CAPAs to ensure timely, compliant outcomes
• Support leadership decisions through project evaluations, escalation handling, and 18-month product roadmap reviews
• Deliver clear, actionable reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders
• Design, implement, and enhance the program management framework, including methodologies, tools, and governance
• Train and mentor teams on best practices and tools
• Lead and develop a team of project and program managers
• Promote a collaborative, high-performance team culture

Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in complex program/project management within the medical device industry, including product development and/or manufacturing
• Familiarity with medical device standards: EN13485, MDR, and FDA requirements
• Strong leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational abilities
• Fluent in English
