HR Generalist, EMEA

Snowflake Computing Switzerland GmbH seeks an HR Generalist for the EMEA region based in Zurich. The role provides comprehensive People support, advises managers, and ensures compliance with local labor laws.

This position serves as a People Advisor for the EMEA region, reporting to the Principle People Partner EMEA. Based in the Zurich office with some in-office attendance required, the role provides comprehensive HR support across the region.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for staff and managers, offering guidance on HR policies and daily People matters.
• Handle employee relations concerns, including performance issues and investigations, escalating cases as needed.
• Coach managers to improve their skills in performance management, employee relations, and team effectiveness.
• Provide timely HR operational support throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Advise on employment terms and support leave of absence processes across various EMEA countries.
• Collaborate with Payroll to ensure accurate inputs for leave, terminations, and allowances.
• Ensure HR practices comply with local labor laws and internal policies.
• Partner with People Partners, Centres of Excellence, and regional teams to deliver consistent People programs.
• Drive the adoption of People initiatives, policies, and tools across client groups.
• Contribute to regional and global People projects with a practical perspective.
• Analyze People data to identify trends and recommend actionable solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the employee experience.

Requirements

• 4+ years of progressive HR experience, including direct support to managers and employees across the employee lifecycle.
• Professional proficiency in one or both German and French.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of various EMEA employment practices.
• Understanding of the technology sector.
