This internship places you within the Operational Excellence team at Medtronic's Lausanne facility. You will assist with key projects designed to boost manufacturing efficiency and team productivity, gaining practical experience in a global MedTech environment.
Responsibilities
- Help implement simulation tools for production lines.
- Evaluate projects that affect processes, equipment, or staffing levels to estimate potential savings.
- Analyze data and create reports or visualizations to aid operational decisions.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a master's program in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Native-level fluency in French.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (B2 level or higher).
- Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, including handling large datasets and preparing analyses.
- A strong desire to learn about manufacturing operations, digital solutions, or project management.
- Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and an analytical approach to work.
Nice to have
- Prior experience with simulation or modeling software such as Python, Simul8, Arena, AnyLogic, or comparable tools.
- Programming background in Python, VBA, or similar languages.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in team settings and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
