D-ploy seeks a Junior IT Onsite Support Engineer in Bubendorf to provide first and second-level technical assistance. The role requires fluent German and English skills and involves resolving hardware, software, and network issues for end users.
As a key member of the IT support team, this position serves as the primary contact for employees facing technical difficulties. The engineer ensures smooth daily operations by troubleshooting devices, managing connectivity, and maintaining a reliable IT environment across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for employees with technical questions or issues.
- Diagnose and fix problems related to software, hardware, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, including ISP circuits, firewalls, switches, and wireless systems.
- Provide support for remote access solutions such as VPN.
- Assist top management with meeting and conferencing technology setup.
- Update and maintain the internal knowledge base with relevant technical information.
- Keep users informed about the status of their support tickets.
- Escalate complex service issues to higher-level support when necessary.
- Train staff on computer operations and software applications.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in a similar IT support role.
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, specifically Windows 7 and 10.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications.
- Solid knowledge of PC and laptop hardware components.
- Familiarity with peripherals, including printers.
- Experience supporting mobile devices.
- Basic competence in Active Directory and Exchange.
- Fluent written and spoken communication skills in both German and English.
- Ability to provide a criminal record extract issued within the last three months.
