Proton seeks a Mid-level IT Support Specialist in Geneva to manage internal infrastructure and support millions of users in a hybrid, fast-paced environment.

This position supports the IT team at Proton, a company dedicated to user privacy. The specialist will handle technical operations for employees while ensuring reliable service for the broader user base that relies on the company's secure platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and fix hardware, software, and access problems for staff members.
  • Configure, set up, and maintain IT devices for both new hires and current employees.
  • Establish and upkeep network connections and associated devices.
  • Administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions across at least two major operating systems.
  • Manage the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including user accounts and license assignments.
  • Utilize Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence for workflow management.
  • Install and maintain meeting room technology, including audio-visual and conferencing systems.
  • Enhance the speed and reliability of internal IT processes.
  • Investigate and implement AI-driven tools to improve support efficiency and internal workflows.
  • Keep detailed records of IT activities and provide clear guidance to end users.

Requirements

  • At least three years of professional experience in IT support or operations.
  • Solid grasp of core networking concepts.
  • Practical experience using Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and/or macOS environments.
  • Ability to write basic scripts for automation or troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience managing Microsoft 365 and Atlassian product suites.
  • Comfort with using AI tools for daily tasks and creating simple automations.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service capabilities.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a team.

  • Experience or interest in integrating AI solutions into existing IT systems and tools.
