This position is responsible for the daily operations of a clinical reference laboratory. The supervisor ensures that all activities adhere to strict safety protocols and industry standards while leading cross-functional efforts to resolve complex operational challenges.
Responsibilities
- Apply and interpret relevant government and industry regulations to ensure compliance.
- Guide cross-functional teams and foster collaboration across departments.
- Identify, analyze, and communicate complex operational issues to senior leadership.
- Troubleshoot difficult problems and make informed decisions within a team environment.
- Enforce safety protocols, including the proper use of protective clothing and equipment.
Requirements
- Four years of professional experience in microbiology.
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in chemical, physical, biological sciences, clinical laboratory science, or medical technology.
- Familiarity with CAP/CLIA regulatory frameworks, FDA guidelines, and general industry standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including effective presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and strong planning capabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight, adapt to changing conditions, and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
