Anavia seeks a Lead IT Operations & Infrastructure professional in Bilten, CH, to oversee IT systems, cybersecurity, and vendor management while supporting internal teams.
The company is looking for a leader to take end-to-end responsibility for IT operations, thereby reducing the operational burden on leadership. This role focuses on delivering stable, secure, and efficient IT services that enable other teams to work effectively.
Responsibilities
- Direct IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations projects to ensure tangible business value.
- Create clear structures, transparency, and defined ownership for all IT processes.
- Implement pragmatic cybersecurity measures and governance frameworks.
- Develop and maintain the IT roadmap covering servers, networks, cloud services, and workplace technology.
- Assist with IT budgeting, vendor selection, and cost control.
- Manage daily IT operations alongside internal support staff, handling prioritization and escalations.
- Serve as the primary contact and coordinator for external IT service providers.
- Lead the rollout of key IT initiatives such as VPNs, password managers, MDM, and monitoring tools.
- Oversee network management, access rights, and system configurations in partnership with providers.
- Refine IT processes including onboarding, access management, device lifecycles, and support workflows.
- Coordinate cybersecurity activities like audits, assessments, and awareness training.
- Administer the software landscape and manage licenses for engineering tools and enterprise systems.
- Facilitate the introduction and deployment of new software solutions across departments.
- Maintain documentation and ensure basic governance standards across IT systems.
- Identify opportunities to boost efficiency using digital tools and automation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the internal IT Support function to ensure effective knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
- Optimize collaboration with external providers to ensure service quality, cost efficiency, and gradual internal capability building.
Requirements
- A degree in IT, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, or IT project management.
- Proven experience managing external IT service providers and vendors.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience with enterprise software and license management.
- Fluent English proficiency.
- German language skills at B2 level or higher.
Nice to have
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, or technology sectors.
- Familiarity with engineering or simulation software environments.
