Legal Workflow Engineer

Deepjudge, Switzerland’s leading AI and ICT scale-up, seeks a Legal Workflow Engineer in Zurich. The role combines legal expertise with AI product development to enhance how law firms access and use legal knowledge.

Deepjudge is transforming legal knowledge access through enterprise search and AI infrastructure. This role is for a lawyer passionate about improving legal workflows, combining research, structured thinking, domain knowledge, and product intuition. It is an in-office position at the Zurich headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Act as a bridge between legal expertise and technical teams by serving as a subject matter expert on legal workflows and practice-specific processes.
• Research legal use cases and pinpoint AI workflow opportunities with high impact.
• Work with product and engineering teams to design, test, and refine AI-driven solutions.
• Support prompt engineering and evaluation methods tailored to legal tasks.
• Partner with the sales team to create strategies for demonstrating the product to global law firms.
• Ensure tools match real lawyer workflows, supporting project management, knowledge reuse, and client service.
• Lead discovery sessions and feedback loops with clients to align AI solutions with actual legal challenges.

Requirements

• A law degree from a top-tier institution is required.
• Experience practicing law at large international firms, with preference for experience at a US firm.
• Professional experience in Legal AI is required.
• In-depth understanding of legal workflows across practice areas, including corporate and litigation use cases.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities, with the capacity to translate legal context into product insights and explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Comfortable collaborating with diverse groups including legal professionals, product managers, designers, and software engineers.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

• An MBA is preferred.
• Experience working at a US law firm is preferred.
