Manager Global Scientific Affairs

Sobi seeks a Manager for Global Scientific Affairs in Basel to coordinate scientific communications and medical activities for rare disease assets.

This position is responsible for the operational execution and project coordination of scientific communications and medical initiatives. The role ensures that content development aligns with strategic goals while supporting the rollout of training materials and congress deliverables for assigned therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and format scientific documentation to ensure quality and compliance.
• Manage project trackers, timelines, and milestone adherence for various initiatives.
• Coordinate logistics and content for medical congresses and training events.
• Serve as the primary operational link between Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Clinical, and Market Access teams.
• Develop and distribute internal and external training resources, including speaker coordination.
• Maintain and update the central repository for training materials.
• Prepare reporting materials, slide decks, and internal updates for stakeholders.
• Ensure all scientific outputs meet regulatory and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in life sciences, such as a PhD, PharmD, or MSc.
• Two to five years of professional experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Communications, or the pharmaceutical/biotech sector.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on Windows.
• Fluent command of the English language.

Nice to have

• A PhD degree, though flexibility may apply based on overall seniority.
• Prior experience or knowledge regarding cardiometabolic disorders.
• Proficiency in additional European languages.
