Manager Trade Finance Solutions

Bunge seeks a Manager for Trade Finance Solutions in Geneva. This role involves designing innovative trade finance structures and managing credit insurance partnerships to support global commercial activities.

This position serves as a central link between commercial origination, structuring expertise, and internal coordination within the Structuring & Insurance team. The professional acts as a primary interface for Global TFS Commercial teams, central corporate functions, and external insurance providers, playing a pivotal part in creating and promoting new trade finance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global commercial teams to pinpoint requirements for new products or improvements to current trade finance structures.
• Create and deploy scalable, compliant trade finance solutions that align with established governance frameworks.
• Spearhead structuring discussions and navigate approval workflows involving Legal, Risk, Tax, Compliance, and Accounting departments.
• Oversee the maintenance and periodic review of approved term sheets and legal documentation.
• Serve as a senior reviewer and sponsor for complex financial transactions.
• Develop and structure single-risk credit insurance solutions to facilitate commercial deals.
• Foster strong relationships with credit insurance brokers and underwriters.
• Manage libraries of standard operating procedures for contracting insurance capacity and agreed policy wordings.
• Coordinate the submission of underwriting requests, insurance binding, and claims handling processes.
• Promote TFS structures and products internally to support commercial initiatives.
• Enhance process efficiency to ensure optimal allocation of responsibilities across commercial, structuring, and execution phases.
• Provide trusted internal advisory on structuring and credit insurance matters.

Requirements

• A university degree.
• At least six years of experience in structured trade finance, commodity finance, or trade/specialty credit insurance.
• Demonstrated experience in structuring complex trade finance transactions, such as receivables financing, inventory financing, borrowing base facilities, or prepayment/pre-export finance; or proven expertise in sourcing, brokering, or underwriting credit insurance in emerging and/or commodities markets.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
• Experience with off-balance-sheet or derecognition structures is a plus.
